what kind of game system was this? Grey in color, played it around 2004?

I used to play this game system with a friend back in 2004, I think it was a few years old though so it was prolly made in 2000 ish. It was grey, the games popped in the top of it, it kind of looks like pictures I have found of super nintendo, but the controllers were diffrent. They had a thumb joystick in the center and a trigger below that you used to shoot or whatever. It also had buttons and a" t" shaped directional pad. I am pretty sure it had buttons on the front too. She had a steering wheel you could hook up to it and a gas pedal for racing games. I am pretty sure it was a nintendo but cant find pictures online, please help me!
