What is the approximate cost of a custom made of sterling silver ring?

I have this beautiful white gold ring with colored stones in it. Was too big for me and I took it to a jeweler to make smaller, but when I got the ring, the gold metal in the ring really so fragile couldnt fix the jewelry. They also told me that the ring would break over time. I put the stones in a new silver ring, one that will not break and maybe change the design a little. Any idea how much it cost? I appreciate any help or ideas Thanks

Why sterling silver? Ask them to melt the gold when they make new wax. Furthermore, for a custom wax, which is looking at about $ 200. Nothing else is a scam.
