It will put a metallic silver acrylic paint on black polymer clay to finished product appearance money?

I am doing a project I wonder if it will be nice. I love the silver look, but with a "good quality" finish to it. Do you think it'll work? I will try to use black polymer and then baked. Then I put in a metallic silver paint on it. Then I'll cook later?

You can using a liquid, metallic-colored acrylic paint on polymer clay craft oven, but all colors will be a bit on the side of pearls … that's fine. You probably need at least two layers. You can add a layer of brush of a clear acrylic finish if the acrylic is not bright enough for you. Do not use a "glaze" metallic paint though … those likely to be more like "hard metal" but eventually will eat into the clay because of the solvents petroleum based they contain. There are other options to make "faux metal" with polymer clay though: The most realistic would be a "real metal" dust – for example, the Mona Lisa Brand called authentic or something metallic powders, metallic or Fimo Pulvers if you can find. (These are of general application – Rubbed well – the raw clay.) You can also use a metallic wax like Rub N 'Pula above (usually done after the cooking), then buff it. That will not be as bright as some of the other, but can work. (A better brand is the art of Gilder Paste). The technique of imitation metal most commonly used by polymer clayers although a mica-based metal powder like Pearl Ex or Perfect Pearls. These can be found in craft stores (usually color games) or art supply or hobby stores (often by the individual color).
