Should You Send Your Broken Ps3 To Sony Or Should You Use A Sony Playstation 3 Repair Manual?
Right now you may be thinking sending your ps3 back to Sony is a better idea than using a Sony playstation 3 repair manual. It may seem hassle free and safer but it really isn't than using a Sony playstation 3 repair manual. The following are reasons why a Sony playstation 3 repair manual is better than sending it back to the Sony.
Reason #1- The first reason why you should fix your ps3 yourself is because of how much money you will save. When you send it to them it will cost you $150 with no guarantee that your ps3 problem will happen again. This seems really unfair when the mechanical issue with your ps3 was their fault, but if use a Sony playstation 3 repair manual then it will only cost you $20 and will save you $130. If you buy one you can buy 2 brand new $60 games and still have $10 left over while being able to play your newly repaired ps3.

How can I repair my broken playstation 2?
I was doing the old "disc read error" repair (by taking off the top and dusting the inside out), but the ribbon which attaches the "restart" and "eject" buttons got disconnected. I don't know where it was attached to before, and now I can't eject or start my playstation 2.

It is likely you have the famous laser problem. You can replace the laser module. I found my on ebay.

You will need to find out your PS2 model before finding the correct laser. You can always ask the ebay seller for advice.
